Your New Favorite Red - Trousseau Noir

Are you a lover of light to mid-weight red wines like Pinot Noir, Barbera, or Gamay? Trousseau just might be your next favorite...

Originating from the Jura region of eastern France, and arguably where its best expression is found, this grape variety is now grown in many wine-producing regions around the world.

Trousseau, wherever it's grown, can express delicate notes of cherry, strawberry, violet florals, and earth. Lemon peel aromas lift the glass and black pepper and cured meat notes keep it grounded.

Bottlings from California will tend to express brighter fruit and a playful juiciness, while those from Jura tend to err on the side of earthiness and more deeply concentrated berry and floral notes.

Put a light chill on these wines and enjoy all summer long.

Pair with Comté cheese, steak tartare, and mushroom dishes.
